Yea, Alabama!

This weekend was our first road trip with Emily! Friday night we packed up the car and headed to Tuscaloosa. The amount of stuff we packed for a single night away was a little insane, and even so, there was stuff we forgot. Emily snoozed almost the entire way to Tuscaloosa, which was a huge relief. Admittedly, she had somewhat of a meltdown on Friday night -- I think she was confused about her surroundings and tired -- but once we got to bed, she was fine.

Saturday, all three of us got dudded up for the Alabama game.
Emily looked so cute in the cheerleading uniform her Grandma and Grandpa got her. But she certainly had her game-face on. (She's sort of built like a lineman.)
Robert and I left Em in the capable hands of her grandparents, who reported that she was as good as she's ever been for them. We had an absolute blast at the game. When asked why we didn't take her to the game, Emily responded:

Maybe next year, Emily.
After the game (which 'Bama won in an exciting overtime where the scoring took place right in front of our great end-zone seats), we packed up the car and drove home. Emily was asleep before we got to the interstate and slept the entire way. Yea, Alabama, and yay, Emily! We're already looking forward to the Auburn game in November!

It's a relief when they are good in the car. I'm glad she's gonna be a football girl. Man, I'm so jealous of her juicy little lips. So cute.
