early morning park visit

One day this week, I decided to treat the girls to a morning outing to the park. It has been so hot here that you really can't do anything that's not water-related outside after, say, 9:30. So we went to the park for an hour at 8!

Abby enjoyed the opportunity to show off her mad climbing skills.

Please note the appropriate age-range for the equipment I was letting my 14 month old climb on.

Emily acted like she was going to try the monkey bars, but chickened out.

And Abby acted like she was going to climb these steps, but couldn't quite do it.

Emily tried to encourage Abby to sit next to her so they could go down the slide together.

(Abby declined.)

Abby mostly was interested in marching around and having me and Emily chase her.

No visit to the park would be complete without a little swinging.

By the time we left, we were all three sweaty.
