Conference call

This morning I called into a meeting at work, put the cordless phone on speaker and on mute, and Emily and I listened in and made the occasional insightful comment.

Emily is a really good lawyer.

Tonight she was really fussy, until Mom stood up and performed a few minutes of the magical bounce. We went from soothe-mode

to happy mode

in just a few minutes. Tomorrow, Emily gets to meet her godmother Kimmie and her Great-Aunt Martha, who are coming in from New Orleans for the baptism. She's already got a special outfit picked out to wear; let's hope she doesn't spit up on it before they get here!
