November 2, 2008

Sunday was Abby's baptism. We had a lot of help getting the crew ready in the morning, so we actually had time to take a few photos of Abby in the christening gown before having to dart off to church. (We did not have the same luck with Emily two years ago, and don't really have any good pictures of Emily in the gown.)
We also posed for a rare family photo before loading up and heading out.
The ceremony was lovely, and we were thrilled that Emily was able to be a part of it. Here are some pictures taken after church.

Abby managed to stay awake through the actual baptism but racked out before picture time.
Here is a great picture of us and Abby with her godparents, our good friends the Morgans.
After church, we headed to the Morgans' house for a little lunch. Here's a picture of the sweet cake I had nothing to do with making.
Emily amused herself with cups of water. This is a new favorite thing to do in the bathtub, too: "cook" with cups and water.
Abby finished off the afternoon posing with her mom and cracking up with her grandmother.

Thanks to all who were a part of this special day, particularly Matt and Mary Clay.

The cake is lovely (you should let everyone think you made it :))! What a great picture of the entire family (especially you, of course -- wish you guys lived closer!
