Life keeps changing

The most recent change is that Emily is pretty much walking now. She went from taking a few tentative, lurching steps from one piece of furniture to the next to taking ten or so steps at a time. Here's a little video of her walking to her grandmother today.

Also, she had her first significant bonk last week. She climbed up the first stone step to our front door while I had my back to her watering plants. (She'd never approached the steps before.) And she lost her balance and tumbled off, scraping her little forehead and getting her first real bo-bo. She looks kind of cute with the little band-aid on her head.

Happy Mothers' Day to all the moms out there!

Mother's Day was great! My favorite part was when I asked Emily if she wanted to swing outside and she squealed! If she had been a puppy dog, she would have wagged her tail. She is such a sweet girl. Having time to spend with such a delightful little girl could not have been a better way to spend the day. GML
