Kindermusik!

Last week, Emily and I went to a week-long Kindermusik summer camp. We had so much fun, and every day Emily got more and more comfortable playing with the other babies and had more and more fun. We are already looking forward to doing Kindermusik in the fall! Emily's walking skills also have continued to improve every day; soon, she'll be unstoppable.

Here are two pictures of Emily and her new friend Cooper (who's three days younger than Emily) playing with some bells.Emily also liked to play the drums.I took a couple of little videos of her walking and playing at Kindermusik. Enjoy!

Using the see one, do one, teach one philosophy, will she be in charge of the drumming class at the class in the fall? She seems to have got the idea down. She will have to check all the musical instruments in Robert's toy chest. They are broken in, but not worn out. She has never seen a camera she didn't like.
She is walking so well, so quickly. Robert probably took steps about the same time, but he waited another month or more before he really took to it. Go Emily!. Grandma

So very perceptive. Notice the way she picked up the drum, arranged it in her hand so she could comfortably use the other hand to hit the drum head with the mallet. Then, she looked at it as if to try to figure out the origin of sound. She is soooo smart. Keep up the super parenting! PS Give Em a hug and kiss. I miss her very very much and can't wait until her birthday weekend!
PSPS - Anything you want me to help you with for that event? Cooking, etc.? Love, Nanny Kimmee

My favorite is that Em had to taste BOTH ends of the drumstick before it was acceptible to bang on the drum. A discerning musician indeed.
