Yesterday, I took Emily to her doctor to get her second flu shot. (I guess when babies get their first one, they have to have two shots a month apart.) Emily was an absolute hero about the shot -- she didn't even flinch, much less scream, cry, or even whimper. She gets her toughness from her Papa. While there, I asked if we could weigh Emily, just to get a bonus measurement to put in her baby book (waiting 3 months between the 6- and 9-month checkups is hard!). At just over 7 months, Emily weighed in at 21 lbs., 2 ounces. When I got home I plotted that weight out on this interactive growth chart on the internets and discovered that Emily is apparently in about the 99th percentile in weight -- she's literally off the chart!

This also means that she's within a pound of outgrowing her baby carseat, so we're getting the big-girl carseat this week. Unfortunately, she still has to face backwards for several more months.
Last week, we had our friends Kathy and Liv over for lunch, and Emily got to check Liv out for the first time. She squealed over her like she squeals about Hannah, and reached out to hold her hand. It was really cute..jpg)

Finally, we were all really disappointed about the outcome of the Saints game on Sunday, especially our little Reggie fan. What a great year for the team, though. We're already looking forward to next year.
Here's Emily with her game face on and a piece of Cheerio hanging out of her mouth. She's just started having the occasional Cheerio snack and she loooooves them!
Happy Tuesday!

Love the game face complete with yummy cheerios. Cheerios are the perfect portable snack especially helpfun in the mall!
Love you
I love the picture of Emily and Liv! That's too adorable.

Love the cheerio. Does she pick them up one at a time with her thumb and finger, or by the handful, like popcorn? GML
In the photo with Liv, she is up on both knees. Any forward progress from there? GML
She has to be fed Cheerios, but she will hold and gum a Nilla wafer. She can pick up the Cheerios but hasn't gotten them to her mouth on her own yet. And she still hasn't launched forward, although she's spending more and more time up on all fours.
She is too cute in that jersey!! The cheerios are AWESOME hand eye cordination and pincer grasps pratice!!!
Those fruit and veggie puffs are also awesome-- they melt fast so are good for them to eat!!
She is such a beautiful baby!! What a little champ with the shots! Aren't you lucky! I'm impressed!!
She is so adorable. That is great she is so healthy and growing like a weed.
