a new park!

We got to visit a new park near Grandmother and Gerry's house while we were in Louisiana.

Abby spent most of our time there in the swings with Grandmother.

Emily played Pirate. I'm pretty sure she is saying, "SHIVER ME TIMBERS!" with her finger pointed in the air here.

Future fire-fighter?

My dad and I played about 37 rounds of princess* with Emily. "You be the witch, I'll be the princess, and you be the prince." Pretty sure she's asking me, the prince, to come over and play in this picture.

"She's the prince."

*How to play princess: the witch "spells" the princess, either into a deep sleep or to lock her in a tower; the prince kisses the princess awake or frees her from the tower. Repeat ad nauseum. (Sometimes there's a dragon involved. Other times, Abby gets to play the coach.) My child has a future as a thespian.
