Pump It Up

Not to beat a dead horse, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMILY!

Okay, last Saturday was quite a day for Emily: first her party, then a friend's party that afternoon at Pump It Up. Here are Em and her buddy Mara Brantley in some sort of video game booth.
They made the kids sit and watch a video setting forth the Pump It Up rules, and Emily put her arm around MB. So freaking cute.

Then we headed in to the rooms of plastic inflatable things.

Is it necessary for me to state that my child had a blast?
Well, except for in this particular contraption. It was a steep wall that you were supposed to jump as high as you could to tack a velcro flag to the velcro squares. But my little athlete thought she was supposed to be able to climb to the top.
Let's just say that she was pissed to discover that she, in fact, could not do so.
There was a major temper tantrum thrown. (Not pictured.)

Thank goodness, it didn't last for too long.

Em tested out the birthday girl's throne once we headed to the party room for pizza and cake.
(Ooh, hey, that's my cute new green purse behind Emily. It's large enough to put Abby's diaper stuff in, but actually looks like a real purse, instead of a diaper bag! Also, it matches the icing on Em's cake.)

Suffice it to say that, following a week of getting ready for Emily's birthday party (which also included swim lessons four days and Kindermusik five evenings), and a Saturday jam packed with birthday party goodness, we stayed in our jammies all day on Sunday.
