Yesterday was Jackson's Red Beans and Rice Festival, held at the Mississippi Braves' stadium. We brought Emily in her Baby Bjorn, and Robert and I had a great time tasting way too many red beans. After filling our bellies, we took a break in the shady stadium seats. Emily's eyes just look so pretty in the outside light.

Yesterday afternoon, we (of course) watched football. Emily likes football, even when Alabama loses.

Of course, Em wore a cute outfit to church today.

Then she got a visit from her Louisiana grandparents. She showed off by flashing lots of smiles and talking a bunch.

In other news, now that the weather's cooling off, I have to put pants on Emily more often. These sweatpants really flatter her girlish figure.

And she's started reaching for her toes! I can't blame her; they're pretty cute.
