Last weekend was the annual Red Beans and Rice Festival in town, which raises money for the local soup kitchen. Robert has headed up our church's cooking team for the past several years, and the girls and I joined him mid-morning for a day of fun.
The tent looked awesome this year.
The theme was down home beans and rock and roll or something like that, so Robert was accessorized as Elvis. Here are The King and His Princesses.
Our priest actually donned his full Elvis regalia.
Abby is used to figuratively stirring the pot. This time, she literally stirred the pot.
One of these years, our team is actually going to place! (The beans were fantastic!)
