Since Lent is almost over, I figured it's about time to post some pictures from our church's Mardi Gras celebration, which is a lot of fun for the kids. We enjoyed a pancake breakfast, followed by a parade around the church. (This year's parade was inside because it was raining.)
As you can tell, the girls loaded up with beads. Then the kids all got to go up on the altar where they sang a bunch of songs with Alleluia in them before packing away the Alleluias for Lent. Abby was enthralled -- I think it was fun for her to be in big church with all the big kids as she is usually secreted away in the nursery at church events.
