skills practice

Every Thursday, Emily's soccer league has a free skills workshop for the kids. They divide them up by age and gender and put them with coaches to just work on drills. It's been a lot of fun -- more enjoyable for Emily than the games, which still bring tears. One Thursday in September, I actually packed my camera.

Abby enjoys the snack portion of skills practice.
She also appreciates the opportunity for quiet contemplation. (HA! If you know Abby, you know that she never quietly contemplates anything.)

Here's my little soccer girl before practice actually started.

Emily loves the guy who runs the skills practice. He's from Australia or something, has a really darling accent, and she just absolutely adores him. Cones make good hats.

Abby found a dog to terrorize.
There were only four girls in Emily's age group on this particular day, so they integrated them with the boys.

A tree-hugger already!

Abby loves babies.

Fun stuff.

Adorable. I love that Emily multi-tasks. She drinks while she drills! Very efficient.

Love,
