possibly the best fourth birthday party ever

Our crazy busy Saturday ended at Liv's fourth birthday party. And it was awesome. Abby made Liv's grandpa push her in the swing. (I suspect he was delighted to oblige.)
Liv got a trampoline for her birthday, and the kids all had a blast jumping. (So did this mama.)

Sweet Baby Lola, Liv's little sister.

The kids all painted these little box cars. Abby spent a lot of time working on what ended up being Emily's car.
And then she sneaked off and stole Lola's hat.

Dinner time! Hot dogs and "corn bread," aka corn on the cob in Abby-speak.

What were the cars for? The drive-in movie theater, of course! Liv's parents have this big inflatable projection screen, and after it got dark, we watched How to Train a Dragon under the stars. It was AWESOME.

Emily eventually climbed out of her car and snuggled with me.

And Abby fell asleep in her car. I loved how her little ponytail hung over the back of the car. Thank goodness Uncle D-P was there to transport the downed soldier to the car.

What a fabulous birthday party!
