a peek at our afternoons

While the weather is cool enough to play outside but not so cool that we can't enjoy popsicles, we have been spending almost every afternoon after picking Em up from school playing in the backyard.

No one in my family is afraid to get dirty. (And neither of the girls' feet get bothered by the rocks in the play area, which kill my feet when I'm barefoot in them!)

Abby is full of fierce determination to get to the top of the slide with her popsicle intact.

Abby likes to sneak over to the garden. She was pointing at the tomatoes and saying, "APPLE!"

Say what you will about Christmas, but I sort of think this is the most wonderful time of the year!
